2019 Record Store Day releases list includes vinyl from John Lennon, The Rolling Stones, Queen & Billy Joel

The 2019 installment of Record Store Day takes place Saturday, April 13, and the complete list of exclusive releases that will be available at independent record shops has now been revealed.

Among the many artists issuing limited-edition vinyl discs on the big day are John Lennon, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Billy Joel and Elton John.

Lennon's Record Store Day release, Imagine (Raw Studio Mixes), features stripped-down early versions of the songs from his classic 1971 album Imagine culled from the deluxe Imagine box set released last year.

The Rolling Stones have three offerings: a single featuring a performance of "She's a Rainbow" from an October 2017 concert in Paris; a reissue of the U.K. version of the band's 1966 compilation Big Hits (High Tide and Green Grass), pressed on green vinyl; and a 50th anniversary edition of the U.K. version of the group's Through the Past Darkly hits LP.

Queen will release a picture disc of the 2018 Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack, while guitarist Brian May is issuing a 12-inch disc featuring two versions of his recent solo tune, "New Horizons."

Joel's offering is the first-ever vinyl release of his Live at Carnegie Hall 1977 concert album.

Elton is issuing Live from Moscow, a two-LP set featuring recordings from a May 1979 concert in the Russian capital that originally was broadcast on the U.K.'s BBC radio.

A mono version of the two-LP Woodstock soundtrack, marking the festival's 50th anniversary, also will be available.

Other artists releasing limited-edition vinyl for RSD this year include Badfinger, Eric Clapton, Crosby, Stills Nash & Young, The Doors, Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac, Al Green, Madonna, Van Morrison, Elvis Presley, Prince, Procol Harum, Otis Redding, Sly & the Family Stone, The Troggs and U2.
